Courchevel, Walking & Hik...

In and around Courchevel and throughout the three valleys and greater Vanoise national park there is an impressive range of walking opportunities. From family friendly strolls through the forest to high alpine adventures on exposed peaks there is something for everyone from grandparents to seasoned mountaineers.

For hikers who especially like to seek the solitude of high mountains it is worth noting that the Vanoise National Park, France’s first national park connects along a 14 km stretch of the French Italian border with another famous park, the Grand Paradiso National Park in Italy. Combined they create a protected region of 1250 square kilometers. These high mountains, many of which stand above 3000 meters, are home to spectacular scenery and wildlife including marmot, chamois, ibex and golden eagles. This is all accessible to anyone with a pair of hiking boots, a rucksack, a sun hat and the inclination to explore.
