Val d’Isere along with its partner and neighbour Tignes have combined their ski areas to form the vast region known as L’Espace Killy. This supersized ski area covers 300 kilometers of marked piste and offers considerable opportunities for off-piste riding too. The terrain is certainly interesting and there is plenty of variety. From steep, rocky and extremely terrifying to gentle, serene, tree lined pleasantries the Espace Killy and Val d’Isere offer skiing and snowboarding conditions suitable for all levels of rider.
Most commentators that have had the pleasure of riding here have had something positive to say about it. And they tend to agree that it is simply sensational. For back country and freeride fans there really is no contest. Val d’Isere is undoubtedly one of the world’s premier freeride destinations.
