For beginners there is a nursery area up on the Madrisa (separate from main ski/snowboard area) accessible by Gondola. This area is ideal for absolute beginners but progressing beginners should head off in the other direction to Gotschnagrat and Weissfluhjoch where they will find longer blue runs on which to build confidence.

A free bus and train service linking all of the resorts allows intermediates to explore the area freely and unconcerned with last lift times. The area boasts 132 kilometers of intermediate graded terrain (more than the total amount of pistes in some resorts). Plus the easily accessible marked off-piste allows intermediates to try out this pleasure in relative safety. Some instruction is however advisable.
