Kirchberg, Skiing & Snowb...

Kirchberg shares the same slopes as neighbouring Kitzbühel, with its’ world renown for hosting the most fearsome downhill race on the planet, the Hahnenkamm. However the riding here is largely suited to intermediates with the majority of runs being graded either red or blue.

The skiing and snowboarding is split over three areas taking in the surrounding settlements of Aschau, Aurach, Jochberg, Kitzbühel & Reith offering 165 km of marked piste between them.

Beginner

ski rating

Beginners are well catered for with ample nursery slopes at the village edge. Improvers will soon be winging along on the top to bottom blue runs found throughout the area.

Intermediate

ski rating

Intermediates can roam far and wide from the summit of the Kitzbuheler Horn in the East to the small hamlet of Aschau in the south west. Red and blue runs lead from the open tops down through the forests in every direction often passing a watering hole on the way.

Advanced

ski rating

The mighty Streif piste certainly lives up to its’ reputation and even more so when hard and icy. However the Streif is not the only testing run around. With no less than twenty-two percent of the marked runs being graded difficult and many off-piste routes (especially good after a fresh snowfall) easily accessed from the main pistes advanced riders should find plenty to keep them amused.

Freestyle, Skier and BoarderCross

ski rating

The best freestyle area is found up on the Kitzbuheler Horn which has a park with pipe and a rider-cross track.
