Crans Montana, Skiing & S...

Crans Montana proves a well rounded resort offering something for riders of all abilities. The large ski and snowboard area provides 160 kilometers of marked piste, the overwhelming majority being suitable for beginners and intermediates. And more accomplished riders will find plenty of off-piste options to keep them entertained. The slopes extend up beyond the tree line to high glacial peaks providing a variety of environments through which to travel.

Beginner

ski rating

Beginners start out on the gentle nursery slopes a short way up the mountain above the resort. Before long they should be heading further up the mountain to take on some longer blue runs.

Intermediate

ski rating

With the vast majority of slopes being graded either blue or red Crans Montana proves to be an intermediates paradise. An interconnecting network of lifts and pistes allows intermediates to go charging all over this mountain in every direction.

Advanced

ski rating

The Crans Montana ski area offers up only a few black pistes to challenge the experts. However for those that can afford the services of a guide this area offers much more off-piste. Being heavily glaciated it is essential to hire the services of a guide when straying from the relative security of the marked runs.

For freestylers there is a park but no pipe so this place is officially smoke free.
