Champoussin , Skiing & Sn...

Champoussin is an ideal base from which to explore the Portes du Soleil ski region. It is linked by lift and piste to the majority of the big name resorts on the circuit. Half way between Avoriaz and Chatel, Morzine and Torgon, Champoussin is in a fairly central position, ideal for those who like to explore but enjoy taking their time doing so. And the Portes du Soleil with over 650 kilometers of marked piste is an explorers’ paradise.

Beginner

ski rating

The slopes above Champoussin are ideal for beginners who should be charging down the long blue runs that litter this sector of the Portes du Soleil in no time. These same runs are ideal for confidence building which should help beginners graduate to improver to intermediate.

Intermediate

ski rating

Intermediates will have an absolute ball exploring the various corners of the Portes du Soleil, from Les Gets (if you’re very fast) to Torgon. An unbelievable variety of terrain on hundreds of slopes awaits the riders who roam.

Advanced

ski rating

Advanced riders will find many pleasures close to hand (I mean foot) on the slopes of neighbouring Avoriaz. Off-piste opportunities abound and above next door neighbour Champery, descending from below Pointe De Vorlaz is a designated off-piste itinerary that is a blast following a fresh snow fall.

Freestyle, Skier and BoarderCross

The Portes du Soleil region is littered with parks and natural features. Avoriaz particularly is a long time established freestyle zone and things just keep getting better.
