The Chamonix valley offers a good mix of cross-country and downhill mountain biking trails. On the downhill side of things there are trails between 500m and 1500m in length. That’s big! And with over 20 separate cross-country trails of varying length and technical difficulty dotted throughout the valley there is more than enough on offer to keep even the most active riders occupied for a good couple of weeks. The tremendous scenery afforded from this stunning and dramatic landscape makes riding in this region a real pleasure for everyone. For the past 40 years, all land lying above 2000 meters elevation has been classed as a nature reserve and is consequently protected. Riders are asked to remember this and respect the rules of the mountain. Please check with local tourist offices for further information.
