Adelboden is an ideal resort for beginners with several nursery slopes in and around the village. The numerous well linked blue pistes provide the perfect arena for new skiers and snowboarders to develop technique and build up confidence. At the same time giving them a real flavour of the adventure these sports offer.

The slopes of Adelboden are every intermediates dream. Well linked red and blue pistes criss-cross the mountains in every direction. The resort records something like 136 kilometers of runs suitable for intermediates. And the terrain is superb for those wanting to improve technique. High quality instruction will provide the necessary shove on the way to the major league.

All in all Adelboden has ten or so black pistes and one or two challenging reds. The controlled freeride area Engstligenalp proves to be the highlight of the resort. Adelboden’s officials have gone to great lengths to provide safe freeride zones. Off-piste routes are marked out and information on such things as avalanche risk gets handed out at checkpoint notice boards.

“Gran Masta” the “much fasta” fun park provides freestylers with a half pipe and various jumps.
