Situated on the banks of the River Tweed roughly twenty-three miles due south of Edinburgh the town is surrounded by the rolling countryside of the Scottish Borders.

Within the town and throughout the surrounding locales there are many attractions from historic and cultural to leisurely and exhilarating. The town boasts a good choice of accommodation, bars and restaurants. While the surrounding countryside offers an abundance of sporting opportunities that include fishing, biking, hiking, golf and good old fashioned horse riding to name a few.

Peebles is an interesting and attractive town with plenty to do. As a destination it’s suitable for singles, couples and families alike – especially those that have a love for the great outdoors.
