Vonn focuses on Olympics

US downhill champ Lindsey Vonn, who scooped the prestigious crystal globe in Bormio this week after the final race was cancelled, has her sights set firmly on Olympic success.

The 23-year-old explained to the AFP that she is focused on the Olympics and that she is "pretty determined" to achieve success at the Games.

In 2006, Vonn - then named Kildow before getting married last year - rebounded from a training crash to put in a strong performance.

She had another crash in October 2006, but has seemingly regained her pre-Turin form after undergoing an operation and spending a lot of time working in the gym and on the bike.

"It really gets tiring, but what motivates me is the Olympics and wanting to be stronger," she commented.

According to Vonn's official website, her biggest dream is Olympic success in Vancouver.

"Since I was nine I've been dreaming about winning there," she said.
