After a disappointing February, the snow forecasts for Europe's ski resorts look more promising.

Many resorts are expecting a new fall of snow over the next few days and skiing enthusiasts are being urged to make their way to the high-altitude Austrian ski resorts, which are expecting around half a metre of snow.

Meanwhile, in the Three Valleys, Meribel has reported good snow conditions on piste although off-piste conditions have apparently been more mixed.

According to Travelbite.co.uk, the resort of Chamonix in France is enjoying good skiing conditions, thanks to a ten centimetre top-up last week.

Last week, it was reported that snow conditions in New Zealand and Australia look good as ski resorts prepare for the winter season.

In fact, Mount Hutt in New Zealand was blessed with 15 cm of the white stuff.
