Tomas Kraus and Ophelie David both won their respective freestyle ski cross races at the weekend.

On the men's side, the Czech Republic's Kraus came first in the Freestyle FIS World Cup in Spain on Saturday.

Kraus, who now leads the ski cross World Cup rankings, beat Canada's Stanley Hayer into second place, while Swiss skier Andreas Steffen claimed bronze.

Meanwhile, France's David beat Norway's Hedda Berndtsen and Austria's Kathrin Ofner into second and third place respectively.

In the World Cup rankings, David now leads with 401 points and ascended to second place in the overall standings.

The weekend's results are an echo of events that took place on Sunday 13th January when Kraus beat the USA's Casey Puckett and 2007 FIS World Championship silver medallist Stanley Hayer into second and third place.

On the same day, David won the women's event, with Norway's Hedda Berndtsen and France's Meryl Boulangeat claiming silver and bronze respectively.
